Mary Sibande

Mary Sibande is a South African artist based in Johannesburg. Her work includes sculptures, paintings, photography, and design, which explore the human form and identity in a postcolonial South African context. Sibande's art reflects her personal experiences living through Apartheid and critiques stereotypical depictions of women, especially Black women.
