Le Corbusier, born Charles-Édouard Jeanneret, was a French-Swiss architectural designer, painter, urban planner, and writer. He was a pioneer of modern architecture and designed buildings across Europe, Japan, India, and the Americas over a five-decade career. Originally from Switzerland, he acquired French nationality in 1930.
