Hélio Oiticica

Hélio Oiticica was a Brazilian visual artist, sculptor, painter, performance artist, and theorist. He was known for his participation in the Neo-Concrete Movement and for his innovative use of color. Oiticica developed what he called "environmental art," including works such as Parangolés and Penetrables, like Tropicália. He was also a filmmaker and writer.
