Bottleneck Gallery Releases Nick Dragotta’s ‘Absolute Batman #15’ Screen Print in Four Editions Image: Bottleneck Gallery, Brooklyn

Bottleneck Gallery is putting 'Absolute Batman #15' by Nick Dragotta on sale today at 12 PM ET, offering a screen print, a foil variant and two acrylic editions based on the comic’s cover. The Brooklyn gallery’s release centers on Dragotta’s depiction of Absolute Joker, which the gallery describes as simulating a playing card and as part of a celebration of the character’s appearance in 'Absolute Batman #15'.

According to the gallery’s announcement, the standard screen print measures 24 by 36 inches and is a hand-numbered edition of 350 priced at $60. The foil variant, printed on Holo Foil paper, is the same size and is a hand-numbered edition of 150 priced at $70. Bottleneck Gallery is also issuing two multi-layer acrylic versions: a 16 by 24 inch edition limited to 100 and priced at $125, and a comic-size 7 by 10.5 inch edition limited to 100 and priced at $75. Both acrylic editions come with a digital numbered certificate of authenticity issued by Verisart.

The release draws directly from 'Absolute Batman #15', whose interiors Bottleneck Gallery links to Scott Snyder and Jock. In the announcement, the gallery says the story helped establish Absolute Joker as a particularly evil force and notes that the print editions are intended to emphasize that version of the character, with foil and layered acrylic processes used to make Joker stand out from the page.

Dragotta’s print is part of Bottleneck Gallery’s ongoing focus on comic-book imagery and screen-printed editions. The gallery, founded in 2012 and located at 17 Ingraham St. in the Bushwick neighbourhood of Brooklyn, has built a release program that includes comics, graphic novels and limited-edition art prints alongside a rewards program called Bottlebux. The sale notice directs buyers to the gallery’s homepage for the release at noon Eastern time.

The announcement does not specify any exhibition component or in-person opening, presenting the release as an online sale of limited editions. Interested buyers are told the editions will be available on Bottleneck Gallery’s website, with the standard print, foil variant and acrylic works each listed separately by size, edition and price.

Bottleneck Gallery’s email also frames the release as a celebration of a specific comic-book cover image rather than a broader Batman project. The gallery describes Dragotta’s rendition of Absolute Joker as “hauntingly cool” and says the foil and multi-layer acrylic treatments are meant to bring the character forward visually, while the sale itself begins today at 12 PM ET.

The gallery posted its on-sale notice on 10 August and confirms the drop for Tuesday 11 August at 12 p.m. ET on bottleneckgallery.com. With editions capped at 350, 150 and 100, availability is expected to be short-lived.
