‘Roy Lichtenstein: Like New’ to Feature Recreation of ‘Super Sunset Billboard’

The exhibition runs in conjunction with the major exhibition 'Roy Lichtenstein: Like New,' opening October 11 on the Museum’s 5th floor.

A new billboard by Alex Da Corte looks across the street to food carts. Created in conjunction with the upcoming exhibition 'Roy Lichtenstein: Like New,' the billboard began with a printout of Roy Lichtenstein’s painting 'Hot Dog.'

Drawn entirely from the Whitney’s collection, the presentation brings together ten works created between 1916 and 1960.

The Whitney Museum of American Art has announced 'Roy Lichtenstein: Like New', calling it the first major New York exhibition of the artist in more than 30 years.
