The John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art has added jazz vocalist and composer Georgia Heers to its 2026/27 Art of Performance season, with a concert scheduled for November 13, 2026, at the Historic Asolo Theater in Sarasota. The performance is listed for 7:30 p.m., with tickets priced at $40-$50 and individual tickets set to go on sale September 1, 2026.
The announcement appears within The Ringling’s season lineup, which the museum describes as bringing together live performances, exhibitions and educational programming. In the same season package, the institution is also offering concerts, contemporary dance, multimedia theater and local work-in-progress presentations across venues that include the Museum of Art Courtyard, the Historic Asolo Theater, Ca’ d’Zan’s Bolger Campiello and an off-site date at Sarasota Municipal Auditorium.
Heers’ concert is billed under jazz vocals. The Ringling’s event page describes her as an acclaimed jazz vocalist and composer whose “luminous voice and expressive artistry” have quickly established her as one of today’s most exciting emerging artists. The longer event listing adds biographical context, identifying her as a vocalist and composer from Greer, South Carolina, who studied jazz at Oberlin College & Conservatory and The Juilliard School.
According to The Ringling, since 2023 Heers has performed at venues including Mezzrow, Dizzy’s Club and Minton’s Playhouse, and has appeared with musicians such as Terell Stafford, Cyrus Chestnut and Camila Meza. The page also says she has performed at The Kennedy Center and the Jazz Showcase, and that she is featured in George Clooney’s Broadway adaptation of 'Good Night, and Good Luck', described there as the first Broadway play ever to be broadcast on national television.
The event listing further notes that Heers was a contender for the Sarah Vaughan award for emerging jazz vocals. The Ringling says her work can be compared to that of Samara Joy in terms of her “soon to blast off launch to jazz stardom,” though the museum’s event page presents that as promotional language rather than a formal credit.
