Genoa’s summer piano series ‘I Notturni en plein air’ begins its 11th edition on 23 July, with the opening concert featuring Beatrice and Eleonora Dallagnese in Palazzo Ducale’s Cortile Maggiore. The outdoor programme, presented in collaboration with GOG Giovine Orchestra Genovese, is billed as four chamber-music concerts shaped this year by the theme of dance virtuosity, and it runs through August with further recitals by Sandro De Palma, Dmitry Yudin and Dario Bonuccelli.
The series is part of Palazzo Ducale Fondazione per la Cultura’s public calendar in Genoa, where the newsletter highlights a mix of concerts, exhibitions and film screenings across the summer. For ‘I Notturni en plein air’, the venue information is clear: the first concert is scheduled for Thursday 23 July 2026 at 21:00 in the Cortile Maggiore, with the event listing also noting a ticketed format and bookings handled through GOG.
Beatrice and Eleonora Dallagnese are described by the organisers as one of the most established and compelling piano duos of their generation. The site identifies the twins as 25-year-old musicians originally from Treviso and now based in Salzburg, and says they have built an active concert career that has taken them to major Italian and international stages. Among the venues and institutions named in the listing are the Teatro La Fenice in Venice, the I Concerti del Quirinale, the Carnegie Hall in New York, the Wiener Saal in Salzburg and the Musikverein in Graz.
Their Genoa programme brings together music by Johannes Brahms, Franz Schubert and Brahms again, with the opening concert including the ‘16 Valzer’ op. 39, Schubert’s ‘3 Marce Militari’ D 733, and Brahms’s ‘Danze Ungheresi’ nos. 1–10. The event page frames the recital as a display of “extraordinary” artistic depth, coordination and musicality, while placing it within the broader concept of the summer series rather than as a standalone appearance.
A second concert in the same series follows on 30 July, when Sandro De Palma returns to the Cortile Maggiore. The listing describes him as an acclaimed interpreter known for his search for a personal interpretive style and for subtle timbral and chromatic nuances. His programme includes Beethoven’s ‘Sonata quasi una Fantasia’ in C sharp minor, op. 27 no. 2, Debussy’s ‘Clair de lune’ from ‘Suite Bergamasque’, ‘La puerta del vino’ from ‘Préludes, II livre’, Abel Decaux’s ‘Minuit passe’ from ‘Clair de lune’, and several Chopin works, including the ‘Berceuse’ op. 57, ‘Deux Nocturnes’ op. 27 and Scherzo no. 1 in B minor, op. 20.
The newsletter indicates two later concerts in the line-up as well: Dmitry Yudin on 6 August and Dario Bonuccelli on 13 August, both also in the Cortile Maggiore. For the opening night, the published ticket prices are €10 full price, €5 for under-30s, and a four-concert subscription priced at €25 for over-30s. The concert series is presented as an outdoor summer piano event running at Palazzo Ducale in Genoa through mid-August.
